Remove Scars Naturally: These Eight Home Remedies Make It Work!

These home remedies are real miracle weapons against nasty scarring.

A lot of people don’t even realize that scars are not created equal. That means: spots also change. This process takes up to two years, and only after that can it be assumed that the scar will remain in this condition. Thus, with special care, you can still achieve a lot beforehand so that spots become less noticeable – ideally even disappear.

There are numerous creams and ointments on the market for this, but there are also a few variants from nature. Here are eight completely natural ways to treat scars – with products you can even find in the kitchen cupboard! It would help if you only were careful with sensitive skin. It is best first to test all products in an inconspicuous area.

Remove Scars With Turmeric

In India, yellow spice has long been used in skin care for its anti-inflammatory properties. On the other hand, it is more slowly becoming established and is initially only used against blemished skin or acne. However, it can also work wonders on scar tissue.

Turmeric activates an enzyme that helps our cells regenerate. On the one hand, we can counteract the formation of wrinkles and, on the other hand, positively influence the development of scar tissue. If you mix turmeric with a bit of honey, you have the perfect mask for blemished and scarred skin.

Remove Scars With Cloves

Another wonder weapon from the spice cupboard is the carnation. As an oil, it has an antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and even anesthetic effect. Clove oil is therefore also used for wounds or mosquito bites. However, it can also be used wonderfully to combat acne or scars.

However, one should be careful: Clove oil is one of the most potent natural remedies and can irritate the skin. It must therefore be used in a diluted form. For example, you can mix a teaspoon of olive oil with two to three drops of clove oil.

Remove Scars With The Help Of Calendula

Marigolds are known to most from wound healing ointments. They have a decongestant effect, promote wound closure, but also stimulate the production of new cells. Thus, they can also be a valuable aid in scar healing and can even be used for scar growth.

Marigold oil can be easily obtained from the flowers of the plant. Put a handful of flowers in a jam jar and cover them with cold-pressed olive oil. Then put the pot in the sun for two weeks and shake it every day. Then all you have to do is strain it and pour it into a dark bottle.

Remove The Scarring Nutmeg

The following applies to pregnant women: avoid nutmeg as it promotes menstruation. For everyone else, however, it is a potent means of treating scars. Nutmeg encourages blood circulation, has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. Thus, the nut can promote the healing of old wounds and prevent new ones from forming.

It is enough to mix freshly grated nutmeg powder with a bit of honey to mix an effective remedy for scars. Alternatively, you could switch to essential oil, but the following applies: You should use a maximum of three drops of nutmeg oil on 20ml of base oil. Olive or sunflower seed oil is suitable as a base.

Remove Scars With Lemongrass

Lemongrass has a strong antioxidant effect and can therefore interfere with the formation of wrinkles. It also has a stimulating effect on cell division and thus supports the regeneration of the skin – and that is precisely what we need to fight scars. A nice bonus is a fresh scent, which is even said to affect our mood and reduce stress positively. And since anxiety harms just about every process in our body, it certainly doesn’t help break down scars.

However, as with most essential oils, lemongrass oil should be mixed with a lighter oil. Almond or jojoba oil is suitable for this.

Dandelion Root Helps Remove Scars

Dandelion recently hit the headlines because it was said to have cancer-curing properties – at least in mice. The weed has long been known for a variety of favorable properties, including cell healing. Dandelion root is rich in vitamins A, C, and other antioxidants are known to speed healing processes, thereby reducing visible scars.

If you simmer 30 g of dandelion root with half a liter of water for about 30 minutes, you get a juice that can even be used to treat eczema. However, the liquid must then be stored in a UV-protected bottle.

Remove Scars With A Sun Hat

Coneflower (Echinacea) is mainly used in wound healing. Its ingredients have an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect – even at low concentrations. The enzymes on the skin that cause inflammation are inhibited by the elements, while tissue-forming cells are activated. Sun hats are therefore ideal for reducing scars but also for fighting acne.

A tincture is best for this. When buying, however, you should make sure that the tincture is UV-protected – i.e., packaged in a dark bottle.

Baikal Skullcap

Baikal skullcap is still fairly unknown to us, but it is gaining increasing attention in the United States for its anti-inflammatory properties. A tea made from skullcap leaves can even be used against lichen.

But the ingredient that interests us most is baicalin. Baicalin is said to inhibit the cells that are responsible for scarring. So far, this has only been proven in mice. Regardless, however, baicalin is a natural wonder drug when it comes to cell regeneration. So it does not harm in any case and at the same time ensures firm and plump skin.
