Lose Weight – Our 15 Tips

Food for weight loss must meet exceptional criteria. No, they don’t necessarily have to be low in fat. The calories don’t always matter either. And it doesn’t have to be special ready-made shakes either. Food for weight loss should help you lose weight and be healthy at the same time.

Foods That Will Help You Lose Weight

It has long been known that the usual diets are neither healthy nor sustainable. So your results are by no means permanent. Of course, we also understand that a change in diet to an excessively alkaline and natural diet would be the best – not only for the slim figure but also for your health.

If only it weren’t for the time constraint, the daily hustle and bustle, the unavailable sources of purchase for fresh groceries, and all the other excuses that come to mind as to why a change in diet is entirely impossible right now.

Are you one of those people who would like to be permanently slim but at the same time do not have the nerve for a complete and permanent change in diet?

Then postpone the complete change in diet and concentrate on the following nine foods for the time being and integrate them regularly into your usual menu. You will see: success will not belong!

Nine Foods That Make You Slim

The following nine foods all have the suitable properties to help you healthily lose weight:

  • They fill you up very well.
  • They prevent food cravings.
  • They regulate blood sugar levels.
  • They curb the appetite.
  • They even improve the mood.
  • And most importantly: they taste good!

In short: the best foods for weight loss provide everything you need in times of weight loss to lose weight successfully and healthily.

Whole Grain Products For Weight Loss

Before we get to the stimulating foods that can help you lose weight, first the tried and tested whole grain products, which – compared to white flour products – thanks to their abundant dietary fiber, significantly promote satiety.

White flour consists of isolated carbohydrates. The body can absorb them quickly, digest them, and shortly afterward, it reports hunger again, even though it has only just taken in a lot of calories.

Whole grain products, on the other hand, consist mainly of complex carbohydrates. The gastrointestinal tract takes much longer to digest them. In this way, the feeling of satiety not only lasts longer, but the blood sugar level also remains much more constant.

Of course, this has long been scientifically proven, e.g., B. by Swedish researchers from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.

According to a study of 41 adults of average weight, the greater the whole grain content, the longer a meal will keep you full. This also reduces the calorie intake for the next meal.

Interestingly, this satiating effect was particularly noticeable when the test subjects had only consumed a small, whole-grain meal.

Whole grain products often contain exceptional dietary fibers – the so-called beta-glucans (especially in barley and oats ).

Beta-glucans inhibit the feeling of hunger very well – which Canadian and Australian researchers verified in a study on fourteen adults.

The calorie intake for the next meal could be reduced by about 100 kilocalories if the test subjects previously consumed beta-glucans because these promote the release of cholecystokinin. This hormone inhibits the feeling of appetite.

Beta-glucans can be absorbed very easily with Activated Barley. Stir some activated barley over your soups, which helps you lose weight and tastes delicious.

Konjac Noodles For Weight Loss – Alkaline And Calorie-Free

Konjac noodles are made from konjac root, an Asian root vegetable.

A serving of konjac noodles contains just ten kilocalories – fewer calories than the same amount of cucumber.

Regular pasta, on the other hand, has fifteen times as many calories.

Konjac is not only available in noodle form but also powder form or as capsules. So if you don’t want to eat pasta every day, take konjac as a capsule or stir the powder into your daily shake or smoothie.

Konjac is not only free of carbohydrates and almost all calories. Konjac also massively increases the feeling of satiety and binds fats in the digestive system – with which it can compensate for other high-calorie meals.

Psyllium For Weight Loss

In the same way as konjac, the husks of psyllium also help you lose weight: They fill you up but contain hardly any calories themselves.

At the same time, psyllium husks stimulate digestion that is too slow and have a healing effect on diarrhea and rehabilitate the intestines. Therefore, psyllium husks – also known by their Latin name psyllium – are often part of a colon cleanse.

The “fatal quartet” means the so-called metabolic syndrome, which describes the four most widespread ailments of civilization: obesity, high blood pressure, high blood fat levels, and high blood sugar levels.

Psyllium husks can quickly be taken with a lot (!) Of water approx. 15-30 minutes before a meal.

You will see that you can only eat half of it afterward.

Healthy weight loss shakes

Weight loss shakes can very well support weight loss. It is only essential that you choose a healthy weight loss shake. Because many weight loss shakes are full of different substances, such as flavors, thickeners, sweeteners, or even sugar. Most weight loss shakes are based on soy protein or whey protein. The former should not be eaten in large quantities; the latter is not suitable for a vegan diet.

We, therefore, recommend the Simsalabim weight-loss shake, which consists of a combination of purely vegetable protein powder and is still soy-free. It consists of rice protein, pea protein, and sunflower seed protein. It is supplemented by natural fiber, konjac powder, which has been proven to contribute to weight loss when consumed 3 g per day, which has also been confirmed by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority). The Simsalabim weight loss shake is sweetened with the healthy sweeteners stevia and erythritol.

Legumes For Weight Loss

Legumes such as beans and peas also have a very pleasing effect. This was shown in a meta-analysis by Canadian scientists who compared the results of various scientific studies.

It turned out that the consumption of legumes increased the feeling of satiety by a third. No wonder test subjects took a much longer break after a meal made from legumes than people who did not eat legumes.

Almonds For Weight Loss – The Healthy Snack That Makes You Slim

Almonds are, of course, relatively high in calories, with a good 500 calories per 100 g. Nonetheless, unlike chocolate bars, cookies, and other unhealthy snacks, an almond snack does NOT lead to weight gain.

If you get hungry between two meals, it is better to use almonds than the sweets mentioned.

This is also the advice of the Australian and US researchers of a study that proved that almonds did not result in weight gain despite their high-calorie content.

She also brought to light that almonds can stimulate the metabolism of the test subjects – which is, of course, the be-all and end-all of a diet.

Even if you eat almonds instead of whole-grain products (each with the same amount of calories), you lose weight much better with almonds – as a study with 65 overweight people showed. They ate 84 grams of almonds or whole-grain products with the same calorie content daily.

After six months, the almond group had lost 62 percent more weight than the whole-grain group.

Further studies also showed that almonds have a positive effect on bone density and also on cholesterol levels.

Saffron For Weight Loss And A Good Mood

Appetite does not arise in the empty stomach but the head. So it happens that stress and a bad mood often increase our need for high-calorie snacks.

Women are particularly affected by this phenomenon. For this reason, some resort to hazardous to health drugs and are supposed to have an appetite suppressant effect.

This is not even necessary, as the results of a scientific study from France show. Study participants who were slightly overweight reported a significant decrease in appetite for snacks if they consumed saffron extract daily.

The researchers explain that the extract brightened the test subjects’ moods and thus curbed the need for unhealthy snacks. In this way, the saffron extract brought about a reduction in body weight.

Korean Pine Nuts For Weight Loss

Korean pine nuts also inhibit appetite. This was shown by a Dutch study on eighteen overweight women. Up to four hours after ingesting the Korean pine nuts, the researchers were able to detect increased levels of satiety hormones in the participants’ blood.

The polyunsaturated fatty acids from the pine nuts reduced the appetite of the test subjects by about a third.

However, it has to be Korean pine nuts, as the study showed. Polyunsaturated fatty acids from olive oil had no corresponding influence on the hormonal balance.

Coconut Oil For Weight Loss

Like other fats, coconut oil is not pushed into the fat stores by the body but – similar to carbohydrates – is used to generate energy.

If the body wanted to get the coconut oil into the fat reservoirs (fat tissue), it would first have to convert it into storage fat. The organism, therefore, prefers to treat and burn coconut oil like carbohydrates.

The significant advantage of this is that coconut oil naturally does not – as carbohydrates tend to do – raise the blood sugar level and therefore cannot lead to food cravings.

In contrast to the omega-6 fatty acids, which are very abundant in sunflower oil or safflower oil and reduce the metabolism, coconut oil activates the metabolism, which is ideal for weight loss.

Coconut oil goes particularly well in the hot kitchen. It can be heated to a high temperature and can therefore also be used for frying and deep-frying.

Cabbage Soup For Weight Loss?

It is said that one should be able to lose weight excellently with cabbage soup. Therefore, the so-called cabbage soup diet is propagated time and again. For a week you mainly eat fat-free cabbage soup – from morning to evening. Of course, cabbage soup can be integrated wonderfully into any healthy diet that will sooner or later lead to average weight. Still, the cabbage soup diet usually carried out for a week is not recommended.

A crash diet will “reward” short-term weight loss, but in the long term, with an apparent yo-yo effect.
